On Friday, September 6, 2019 in Makedonia Palace in Thessaloniki, the award ceremony of the Business awards “Thales of Miletus" was held, under the auspices of His Excellency the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Prokopis Pavlopoulos, and with the support of the Union Of Hellenic Chambers Of Commerce (UHCC) of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), the Federation of Greek Industries (SBA) and the Exporters' Association (PEA).

OLYMPIA ELECTRONICS S.A. Since 1979 until today producing electronic safety and security systems and exporting its innovative products to 72 countries with a steadily increasing trend, it received the honorary award "Self-made Entrepreneur". The award was received by the Company's Commercial Director, Mr. Charalambos Marmangelos, who had the opportunity to speak about the progress of OLYMPIA ELECTRONICS S.A. and to refer in particular to this year's 40th anniversary celebration since its founding.

The event was attended by important representatives of the current government and the local authorities as well as important representatives of the state and of the manufacturing and business sectors of the country. The first edition of business awards “Thales of Miletus” left its visitors the best impressions, highlighting business standards and inspiring the Greek society and especially the younger generation.
